Mark Duncan--(LEFT)(Owner) Mark is co-owner of Duncan's Gun Shop and also owner of Shooter's Express in Belmont. Mark does the buying, the advertising, creates the flyers, teaches classes, problem solver, and sales on the counter when time allows. Mark is a LIFE-TIME NRA MEMBER and keeps in contact with the state and national policy makers to make sure our beliefs are heard. He is a strong competitor with a handgun and his records show it with seventeen national records held, top five finishes in the World Bianchi Cup five years in a row, 13 state championships and countless first place finishes. Mark is a lifetime hunter and an avid waterfowler and his favorite hunting companion was his (MIDDLE) Chesapeake, "Gunner". (No longer with us, passed away July 2008)
Matthew Duncan--(RIGHT) (Owner) Matthew is co-owner and one of the reasons Duncan's has been successful for so long. Matthew is a LIFE-TIME NRA MEMBER and a strong supporter of our firearm rights. Matt is also a long time member of Ducks Unlimited and supporter of many other wildlife organizations. He has competed in many matches and set an international record in the 1000 yard rifle shoot. Matthew has been a lifelong outdoorsman and is an avid waterfowler. His specialty is the older style firearms and making sure customers are treated right.
Jim Glass -- (General Manager) Jim is a sales associate, but also handles our receiving department. He's been with DGS since 1994 and brings us the experience on many different aspects of the firearm business. He also is knowledgeable of antique firearms. Jim has many hunting and fishing stories from all the years of being an outdoorsman. He is a member of the NWTF and is one of the greatest hunters of all time(if you don't believe it , just ask him).
Nathan Blanton-- (Sales) Nathan brings many years of shooting experience to Duncan's. He has various specialties from reloading to crossbow and a little of everything else. Nathan has a very modest and laid back personality that really seems to help him connect with the customers. The man just knows stuff!
Steve Rountree-- (Sales/Instructor) Steve is one of our instructors for the concealed carry class and has the experience of being a Hunters Safety instructor. Steve has knowledge of some of today's finer firearms and optics. Known for his abilities as a chef of wild game. He also enjoy's hunting for waterfowl which he has done almost his entire life and is a member of Duck's Unlimited.
Joe Billings-- (Instructor/Sales) Joe is one of our concealed carry instructors and keeps informed of all the changing firearms laws and concealment laws. He has worked at Duncan's for the better part of the 80's thru today. Everyone that knows Joe will tell you he always puts the customer first nothing less. Joe is an experienced hunter and marksman and has been involved in many competitions. He is also a licensed Glock Armorer and a lifetime member of the NRA.
Michael Shumate-- (Pawn Shop) Michael has nearly 30 years of retail experience with over 20 years in management for some of the largest retail chains in the south. For the last 10 plus years he has been our Pawn Shop Manager and also assists the gun shop when we are in need.
Bobby Minton-- (Sales) Bobby is one of our weekend warriors here at Duncan's. He is very knowledgeable of handguns and spends much of his time at the range.
Jonathan Perry-- (Sales) Jonathan was on the West Wilkes Shooting Team. He has now graduated and left for college. He stills helps us out on the weekends. Jonathan is one of our younger employees, but takes his work as serios as anybody.
Wesley Douglas-- (Sales)
Wesley is one of our part-timers. You can usually see him in here on Saturdays. He works in sales and enjoys what he does. Wesley likes staying up with the shooting industry
and target practicing when time allows
Angel Johnson -- (Sales/Office) Angel works here in our office, and also helps on the sales floor. She teaches the Private Ladies Handgun Class, offered here at Duncan Gun. Angel has worked in sales all of her life and knows how important every customer is to a small business. Outside of work she still likes work, she enjoys Pistol and Skeet shooting in her free time.

Charles Hicks-- (sales/gunsmith) is our personal gunsmith and also specializes in military weapons. Handguns are also one of his specialties. Charles has served in the Marines and is a strong supporter of our armed forces. He is knowledged in many different areas of firearms.
Preston Parsons-- (Sales/Classes)
Preston works in our sales department, but also teaches our Men's Only Handgun Class. Preston is also a Licensed Glock Armorer. He's knowledged of the product, and makes sure his customers understand what they are purchasing. When Prestons not here at Duncan Gun Shop, he's attending college to pursue a future in the law enforcement proffesion.
Dan Harris-- (Sales) Dan is one of our part time sales staff. His ability to reach out to the customers is by far unmatched. He works hard for us and works harder for the customer. He enjoys working with people, and doing a little hunting of his own in his spare time.
Steven is our newest member here at Duncan Gun. He enjoys shooting shotguns and is on the West Wilkes shooting team. He's hardworking and always glad to help out.
